Job Summary:

Assist with the daily operations of the Wine and Spirits Education Department. Ensure that all aspects of Education are executed in a smooth, efficient, and accurate fashion, while providing guest experiences of optimum quality.

  • Greet VIP tour groups and other visitors, and confidently provide information about Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits and its products
  • Conduct tours of Trinchero facilities on foot and in company vehicles
  • Present and pour the wines of Trinchero Family Estates at in-house tours, special events and outside tasting events as required
  • Maintain knowledge about all Trinchero products and their prospective growing regions
  • Host trade guests’ meals on occasion at Trinchero property or local account
  • Conduct Wine & Spirits Education seminars for trade groups and Trinchero employees
  • Coverage for offsite tastings, and special events
  • Support the set-up, execution, and breakdown of special events
  • Support tasting room operations when needed
  • Maintain inventory of all Educational collateral
  • Remain current on wine and spirit trends in the industry
  • Create new and update existing content on the Education page on the Blend
  • Assist Manager in creating certification study materials
  • Assist Manager in creating educational programs and training materials for sales team
  • Assist in the supervision of hospitality vehicles

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum three or more years of hospitality administrative experience in hotel/restaurant management and/or related
  • Wine & Spirits Education Certification (WSET3, CSW, CSS, Certified Sommelier or similar)
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Triple Seat, video editing)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Mobility required to conduct tours of Trinchero facilities
  • Able to interact effectively with other departments within the winery as well as outside agencies/vendors/customers
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a clean DMV record

Working Conditions:

  • Regular work schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events
  • Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and setting up for special events)
  • Work site may be any one of the Trinchero facilities
  • Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine)

Salary Range: $24.00 -  $32.00  

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location. TFE offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, PTO, wellness programs and fertility and family building benefits.   We also provide a 401(k) plan where TFE may make a discretionary profit-sharing contribution.
