Job Summary:

Assist with the daily operations of the Wine and Spirits Education Department. Ensure that all aspects of Education are executed in a smooth, efficient, and accurate fashion, while providing guest experiences of optimum quality.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet VIP tour groups and other visitors and confidently provide information about Trinchero Family Estates and its products
  • Conduct tours of Trinchero facilities on foot and in company vehicles
  • Present and pour the wines of Trinchero Family Estates at in-house tours, special events and outside tasting events as required
  • Host trade guests’ meals on occasion at TFE property or local account
  • Conduct Wine & Spirits Education seminars for trade groups and TFE employees
  • Coverage on weekends, tours, offsite tastings, and special events
  • Support in the operations and the set-up, execution, and breakdown of Special Events
  • Support tasting room operations when needed
  • As needed, assist in educational programs and projects
  • Work with manager to determine a meaningful project to benefit the Education department

Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred, not required
  • Experience:  2 or more years experience in winery hospitality or related field preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for wine and spirits, Trinchero Family Estates, and its products
  • Ability to re-locate from one facility to another during one shift
  • Mobility required to conduct tours of Trinchero Family Estates facilities
  • Relaxed, friendly and professional demeanor
  • Able to interact effectively with wide range of contacts, i.e. the public, co-workers and members of other departments
  • Basic computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Wine Education Certification preferred, e.g. WSET, CSW or similar

Working Conditions:

  • Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events
  • Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and setting up for special events)
  • Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
  • Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day) & ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine)

Salary Range: $22.00 -  $27.00  

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
