Supply Chain Intern

Summer 2021 Intern Positions available within Supply Chain: Procurement, Product Lifecycle Management, Supply & Demand Planning, Customer Service

Job Summary:

The sourcing of materials and/or planning of manufacturing activities to meet customer demand.  Improve key business processes by defining a clear scope of opportunity, enlisting stakeholders, & executing the plan.

Essential Functions:

  • Management of small multiple projects: Understand key stakeholder deliverables, suggest opportunities for Improvement and hand-off to business owner.
  • Assessment of current processes and driving continuous improvement
  • Benchmark best practices versus company current practices
  • Assist in Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
  • Creation of master data relating to all facets of the production process
  • Analyze current data to assess, improve accuracy, and troubleshoot data anomalies
  • Prepare, assemble and distribute various daily, monthly and annual production reports and spreadsheets
  • General administrative support

Qualifications:

  • At least a Junior standing at a 4 year accredited institution studying Supply Chain Management or similar
  • Previous Internship experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work with confidential information on a regular basis
  • Ability to perform basic clerical functions and operate basic office machines
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment
  • Usually work a standard work week.
  • Extensive computer work
  • May be required to work at any of  TFE's locations
  • Frequent deadline pressures
  • Numerous projects in progress at any given time
  • May be required to work some overtime hours
  • Comply with company safety regulations
