Cellar Operational Excellence Intern

Job Summary:

Assists in the creation of training materials and tools in support of Cellar Operational Excellence Group. Works collaboratively with cellar team members, mechanics and vendor representatives at all levels to create material in support of operational execution with cellar wine production. Works to transform technical instructions into more user-friendly training documents. This is a role requiring a self-starter that requires a low level of direction and is highly motivated, manages time well and is driven by getting things done to high standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with development of training material through collaborative work with cellar team members
  • Observes production processes out in the work floor and documents processes through photos and written notes
  • Assists with creation of training slides and visual standard work documents (SOPs)
  • Performs administrative tasks in support of the work performed by the Cellar Operational Excellence Team (i.e. Enter tracking information into electronic files, schedule meetings or training sessions, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Values safety above all else
  • Pursuing a technical bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Office; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher
  • Experience in developing training material and content preferred
  • Must type between 40-50 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of digital photography and utilizing photos to effectively communicate work instructions or SOPs.
  • Ability to juggle several projects with some supervision.
  • A strong sensibility for visual storytelling.
  • Knowledge of iMovie, Adobe Premiere and other video software not required but are a plus.
  • Experience creating instructional videos a major plus.

  • Ability to work in a safe, efficient and cooperative manner
  • Good computer skills
  • Valid California driver’s license

Working Conditions:

  • Moderate physical work
  • Will work outdoors at times
  • Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
  • Standing/walking for extended periods of time (4 hours per day)
  • Must comply with all safety procedures and personal protective equipment requirements including ear plugs, safety vest and safety glasses
  • Exposure to various chemicals in production areas
  • Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment
  • Some irregular hours may be involved during peak periods or on various shifts but is not common
  • Some travel may be involved with use of company vehicle.
