Business Analyst - Winery Operations

Job Summary:

The Winery Operations Business Analyst position is directly responsible for support of Winery

Operations business areas including managing regular and on-going requests for application

configuration, performance, enhancements and corrective action, while also being assigned to

concurrent implementation projects. The role is highly engaged with Trinchero’s business users,

LOB’s, IT Infrastructure and IT Business Process Team colleagues.


Essential Functions:

As lead analyst for selected applications, this position is responsible to provide production support

and manage business information systems in an efficient manner and support the business users in

the effective use of technology supporting Winery Operations. Knowledge of Winery and equipment

Maintenance will be required to support the business areas. Knowledge of Engineering, Operational

Equipment Efficiency, Program Logic Control and Regulatory Reports is desired.

•             Perform business process and support including emphasis during key periods of business cycles.

•             Configure, update and maintain application reports, monitor interface data, scheduled jobs and

•             entry forms to meet changing business requirements.

•             Conduct interviews with internal customers (including users and management) to gather, define

•             and document complex business requirements in sufficient detail to determine scope of

•             configuration, implementation or development required.

•             Translate and document customer needs to business requirements, scope, process design,

•             business systems design, process maps, input and output requirements and business benefits

•             and system test and training plans.

•             Plan, communicate and conduct tests including System, Integration and User Acceptance

•             ensuring users thoroughly participate in testing.

•             Create tasks and plans to meet configuration, implementation and general support including

•             communicating with users and co-workers.

•             Build strong working relationships with business areas.

•             Act as Liaison with other business analysts to ensure complete requirements is defined.

•             Drive activities within assigned to meet timelines, budget and quality.

•             Provide detailed documentation and/or presentations for users on project design and actual

•             processes for approval and testing.

•             Maintain project and support documentation including status reports, changes and additions to

•             the system in order to provide an audit trail for subsequent use.

•             Provide guidance, documentation methodologies, development specifications, and system

•             information to contractors / consultants as necessary.

•             Provide analytical and technical assistance as needed to migrate legacy applications.

•             Assist users and other IS staff members to troubleshoot problems to a satisfactory conclusion.

•             Design and maintain configuration to other systems for efficient processing.

•             Provide support to identify potential applications and vendors as needed.

•             Initially validate selected solutions as needed.





•             Bachelor’s degree in related field or certification(s).

•             Consumer Package Goods or related manufacturing environment.

•             Demonstrated experience in collaborating with team members to drive results.

•             Ability to work, efficiently and independently under high pressure, with demanding deadlines.

•             Detail oriented with strong organizational skills, emphasis on self-starting, and multi-tasking

•             with deep commitment to individual responsibility and accountability.

•             Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

•             Strong organizational and time management skills.

•             Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to conduct thorough and

•             professional meetings with all levels of business.



•             3-5 years' experience as a Business analyst or equivalent position.

•             Familiarity with iPad, iPhone and tablet connectivity.

•             Experience with Maintenance Connections or other Plant Maintenance applications.
