eCommerce Analytics Manager

Job Summary:

The eCommerce team at Trinchero Family Estates is in search of an analytical self-starter who can implement, collect and analyze our data to drive informed decision-making.  We aim to better understand who our customers are, what their needs are and how we can deliver a best-in-class experience.  As we build an insights engine that fuels our Direct-to-Consumer business, this role is critical to the development of refined customer acquisition, conversion, retention and referral strategies.  This newly created role provides an opportunity for thought leadership, while establishing relationships with cross-functional partners to progress our omni-channel approach to eCommerce.


Essential Functions:

  • Support the initial implementation and ongoing maintenance of Enhanced eCommerce tracking in Google Analytics across a portfolio of 10 webstores.
  • Work within Google Tag Manager to ensure proper setup and tracking; identifying when IT involvement is necessary for tag/pixel implementation outside of scope for Tag Manager.
  • Perform ongoing audits of web analytics implementations and identify areas of improvement.
  • QA, test and troubleshoot web analytics and tags.
  • Improve the customer experience and drives sales by developing a deep understanding of customer behavior across our portfolio of webstores through detailed analysis.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, eCommerce Planning, and Merchandising teams to improve customer lifetime value.


  • Ability to visualize data for a variety of audiences (Executive overviews, Digital Marketing Managers, eCommerce operations, etc.) through Google Data Studio or something similar.
  • Work with developers to communicate expectations of implementations and what the intended outcomes are designed to accomplish.
  • Implement site personalization and testing & targeting tools and A/B testing, such as Google Optimize, Optimizely or a similar tool.
  • Track, gather and analyze data and turn it into actionable recommendations to drive the business forward.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure web analytics implementation and conversion tracking follows best practices for cross-channel attribution, including communicating any tool updates and impacts to data and analysis.
  • Subject Matter Expert for the company on how to leverage GTM, data layer, UTM parameters and API/S2S tracking for ROAS optimization across SEM, paid social and ad buys.
  • Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and changes to analytics platforms; proactively identifying and quantifying impacts of these changes to the business.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to provide the best options to optimize and streamline the utilization of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.



  • At least 3 years of experience in eCommerce data and analytics; direct-to-consumer preferred.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills and ability to relate results to the company’s business objectives.
  • Google Analytics Certified.
  • Expert level experience in the capabilities and functionality of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimizer and Data Studio.
  • Hands-on experience with DoubleClick Campaign Manager (including implementation of floodlight tags) and other tagging tools a plus (Adobe, Tealium).
  • Proven expertise in Data Management, Testing Design, Measurement and Recommendation.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms is required.  Commerce7 experience is a plus.
  • A self-starter who will thrive in a startup environment in a growing department of a well-established organization.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various departments and outside vendors
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize work.
