Supply Planning Intern

Job Summary:

The Supply Planning Intern will be responsible for process mapping and fact finding focused on a product within the TFE spirits portfolio. The intern will be involved in several initiatives which requires collaboration with Winemaking, Co-Manufacturing and Planning.  They will get exposure to capacity planning, EOQ and SS Planning.

 

Essential Functions:

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for the Supply Chain Analyst who the successful candidate will be supporting and does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.  Management may assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

  • Assists with the whiskey planning process, capacity, timelines, opportunities for improvement, risk mitigation, cost reduction.  
  • Use of Lean concepts including RACI, process mapping, and SIPOC.
  • Collaboration/coordination with Winemaking, Co-manufacturing and Supply Planning. 
  • Provides feedback to help team develop planning parameters including facilities and capacity utilization.
  • Provides analytical and reporting capabilities to supply chain initiatives.
  • Creates metrics and tools to support Supply Chain and S&OP goals/objectives.
  • Develops business insights based on analysis of results, and communicates key findings to various members of management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Makes recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business activities.
  • Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently enrolled at a college or university working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics or Data Analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer Skills:  MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Enterprise System (SAP/IBP) experience preferred
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present solutions clearly and concisely
  • Strong math and analytical skills essential

Salary Range: $20.00 -  $25.00  

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
