Sales Analyst

Job Summary:

Assist Sales Business Insights (SBI) team in development of sales and marketing reports and analyses using distributor shipment, depletion, and inventory information, retail scan data (AC Nielsen), and other internal and external data sources and systems. Participate in development and rollout of new BI reporting and analysis tools in collaboration with other SBI team members and IT. Develop and share sales insights to help drive the business. Sharing of insights with other SBI team members, sales, and Sales Admin management on a regular basis.


Essential Functions:

·Responsible for supporting a sales zone team – currently the American zone in the Southeast, but subject to change.

·Assist the SBI team with reporting that impacts all zones including but not limited to: Nielsen Category Business Reviews; Depletion Performance reports that measure products, customers and retail accounts; Daily Shipment reports; Daily Depletion reports; Total US Scorecard; monthly index report; new product distribution voids report.

·Work with the department to develop and maintain business performance dashboards and scorecards to measure shipments, depletions and Nielsen data.

·Assist Sales and Marketing managers with information gathering, marketing studies, and recommendations. Discover distribution voids and opportunity gaps in the business.

·Administer, update, create and publish standard reports using BI tools



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. 
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong user level computer skills required, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Extensive experience with Pivot Tables and complex Excel modeling a plus.
  • Experience with database applications is helpful. 
  • General knowledge of the wine industry, sales and distribution process or knowledge of Nielsen AOD (or IRI Syndicated data), Power BI, Power Pivot, MS Access, or similar programs is valuable.
