Marketing Manager, Mumm Napa
Job Summary:
Seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Marketing Manager for Mumm Napa. The Mumm Napa Marketing Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of Napa Valley’s most iconic sparkling wine brands following its recent acquisition by Trinchero Family Wine & Spirits. This is a unique opportunity for a visionary, growth‑minded marketer to lead brand strategy, drive business performance, and bring creative ideas to life. Reporting to the Vice President of Mumm Napa, this role requires a strategic and analytical thinker with strong business acumen, creative instinct, and a bias for action. The ideal candidate operates with urgency, excels at both strategic planning and hands‑on tactical execution, and is a clear, compelling communicator. This role is based in Napa, CA, with an in‑office schedule Monday–Thursday and remote flexibility on Fridays.

- Strategic Brand Planning:
- Keen understanding of the consumer, consumer journey, foundational brand architecture, brand universe, brand ID and go-to-market elements.
- Strength in building brand plans, go-to-market strategies, developing frameworks, formulating commerce plans, cultivating partnerships across distribution tiers.
- Strength in PR strategy, marcom, channel strategy, regional programming, and sales relationships.
- Ability to collaborate with a proven and dynamic direct to consumer team to achieve goals.
- Ability to develop strategic and creative decks and tools for distributor networks and gatekeepers.
- Continuous research of industries outside of alcohol beverage for breakthrough strategies and growth opportunities.
- Financial Leadership:
- Strong P&L understanding, demand ownership, and S&OP planning.
- Regularly update budget allocations based on evolving business needs.
- Design & Creative Expression:
- Fluency in design language with the ability to translate brand foundational strategy and innovation into compelling visual frameworks.
- Partner with internal and external designers to build brand identities, packaging systems, and creative universes that communicate both strategic clarity and emotional resonance.
- Elevate brand storytelling through intentional use of typography, color systems, imagery, and structural design elements that align with consumer trends and cultural aesthetics.
- Build tools that make brand architecture, innovation strategy, and consumer insight visible, memorable, and actionable across the organization and with distributor/retail partners.
- Data and Attribution Analysis:
- Pull and analyze data from various platforms like Nielsen and IRI to inform decision-making.
- Continuously monitor brand health indicators ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Understanding attribution analysis is crucial for accurately assessing the impact of various marketing channels on overall business performance.
- Product Lifecycle Management:
- Represent the brand in PLM meetings, driving product innovations and SKU rationalization efforts.
- Stay attuned to market trends and competitor activities, providing strategic recommendations to stay ahead of the curve.
- Relationships and Creative Execution:
- Conceptualize and execute innovative brand campaigns, leveraging partnerships, events, and multimedia channels.
- Collaborate with agencies to develop compelling POS materials and creative content, ensuring brand consistency and resonance.
- Channel Management:
- Strong understanding of retail and on-premise channels.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Growth mindset with the ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business/marketing required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant brand marketing experience (Including alcohol beverage industry, CPG industry and others with aligned competencies).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical mindset with a creative flair, capable of driving branding initiatives based on both data and long-term vision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Team player and willingness to work when the business needs the support.
