Job Summary:

 

To provide high quality, timely support to the Accounting Department and Executive Management.

 

Essential Functions:

Month-end duties including, but not limited to:

  • Prepare and complete Month-end reconciliations
  • Organize data from SAP necessary to complete month-end reconciliations
  • Prepare, review and post journal entries relating to assigned winery cost centers
  • Filing of journal entries and recs for department as necessary
  • Standard cost estimates for assigned brands including costing of packaging materials, wine and finished goods

Analysis and Forecasting:

Participation in the analysis of a variety of cost accounting and production related areas that include all or more than the following:

  • Cost Center Actual to Budget and Current Forecast to Budget variance analysis for specific cost centers or facilities
  • At month end, quarter end and during planning; organizing data, updating spreadsheets, providing analysis and researching and investigating issues working closely with assigned department heads
  • Case goods and bulk wine inventory analysis
  • Review bottling forecasts received from Supply Chain, prepare and analyze bottling line routing rates
  • Prepare and provide monthly and quarterly financial decks to managers and Executive Management relating to winery production and winery cost centers
    • Prepare 12 month forecasts for assigned winery cost centers with department managers
    • Determine and review standard costs for wine programs and brands

Other:

  • AD–HOC reports and projects as needed and requested by management
  • Develop new and useful reports, investigate and implement process improvements
  • Development of written procedures
  • Support and service the needs of other departments

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Years of experience: 3 or more years’ experience in similar position
  • Knowledge of MS Office specifically a strong working knowledge of MS Excel 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills essential
  • Ability to work with confidential information on a regular basis
  • Attention to detail w/good problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Recent experience with computerized accounting systems. SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Multi-tasking and flexible with changing work priorities

Salary Range: $66,560.00 -  $91,400.00  

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location. TFE offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, PTO, wellness programs and fertility and family building benefits.   We also provide a 401(k) plan where TFE may make a discretionary profit-sharing contribution.
