Director, Brand Marketing

Job Summary:

Manage the development of TFE brand(s) including creation, introduction, and ongoing management to ensure the creation of brand equity while driving volume and profit.

Brand and Portfolio Strategy

  • Develop brand and portfolio strategies to achieve company growth and profitability objectives
  • Develop and manage annual business plans to support brand strategy

Innovation & Packaging

  • Lead brand innovation efforts including identifying new product opportunities and executing new product launches
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Creative Services, Innovation, Winemaking and Production to develop new products and optimize packaging

Financial Management

  • Ownership of brand P&L
  • Plan and manage brand marketing budgets to drive profitability
  • Identify and recommend cost savings opportunities
  • Investigate incremental profit enhancing activities

Sales Support and Programming

  • Develop and execute sales programming to include Retail and On-Premise programs
  • Develop and deliver compelling and informative presentations at sales planning meetings
  • Collaborate with sales partners to identify and pursue brand growth opportunities
  • Participate in in-market surveys and sales blitz initiatives

Consumer Advertising and Communications

  • Develop and/or support brand equity through consistent execution of brand voice, identity and essence in all consumer touchpoints
  • Leverage research resources to develop meaningful consumer insights that guide brand strategy and communications
  • Develop advertising and media initiatives to support brand strategy
  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight for digital, social and PR initiatives



Business Analysis

  • Leverage internal and syndicated data resources to understand strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to brand businesses
  • Analyze competitive behavior including innovation, shifts in market share, pricing, etc.
  • Monitor trends and recommend changes to brand and portfolio strategies to drive growth and profitability

People Management

  • Provide strong leadership to junior marketing team members including coaching and developing critical skill sets
  • Establish strong team culture and ensure collaboration
  • Effectively on-board and train junior-level employees as needed



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong business and analytical skills
  • Creativity and experience with strategic planning
  • 4-year college degree with business/marketing major preferred
  • 3+ years experience in marketing with emphasis in retail promotion, advertising, packaging and new products; wine industry experience preferred
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
