Job Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain Planning is responsible for leading the (E2E) planning process for Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits.  This role will provide leadership and set the strategy to achieve excellence in ensuring the availability of inventory through effective management of demand planning, supply planning, and production scheduling. The role works collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure effective management, interacting with Commerce, Winemaking, Operations, Finance, and other Supply Chain functions to identify and meet business requirements at both a strategic and execution level.

  • Provide strategic leadership and maintain a high-performance culture supported by proper motivation & talent development across the supply planning team.
  • Define objectives setting and support to ensure delivery; provide day-to-day guidance to ensure operational execution and ensure development of team core competencies and skill matrices.
  • Facilitate the formal and informal feedback processes during calibration ensuring effective performance management.
  • Mature statistical demand planning processes for shipments and depletions.
  • Define and execute processes for forecast creation and enrichment in collaboration with Commerce stakeholders.
  • Generate appropriate demand scenarios that are actioned in a timely manner and enable business objectives.
  • Ensure effective integration of innovation demand assumptions aligned with recommended launch strategies.
  • Optimize inventory segmentation strategies across the portfolio.
  • Development of the production plan for assigned products/brands using the planning system IBP and other planning tools with a heavy focus on delivering business objectives, service, and managing inventory targets. 
  • Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times, safety stock, and EOQ.
  • Perform monthly supply-demand analysis, highlighting areas of concern.
  • Maintain finished goods inventory at target levels to ensure agreed-upon service levels (i.e., product availability).
  • Report on service levels, performance against plan, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications.
  • Manage vintage change data to enable smooth and proper wine and product utilization/runout. Work with Winemaking to maintain and optimize data and reporting tools.
  • Publish and execute leveled production schedule for assigned production resources.
  • Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities, including the ISO Food Safety & Quality Policy.
  • Define relevant KPIs and success factors for all planning functions (e.g., inventory coverage, product availability, capacity utilization, MAPE, bias, schedule conformance, innovation, etc.).
  • Provide a comprehensive and clear KPI reporting suite demonstrating performance levels and insights.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or Management required. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in planning or supply chain leadership roles.
  • CPSM, CSCP, APICS or Lean certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to structure ambiguity and bring clarity to decisions.
  • Ability to create and maintain cross-functional partnerships on a daily basis.
  • Ability to present solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail, observational, documentation, and follow-through skills.
  • Enterprise system experience required (SAP, IBP, or similar planning tools).
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to create decision-making tools utilizing pivot tables or Power BI.

  • Office and beverage manufacturing site environment.
  • Extensive computer work.
  • May be required to work at any of Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits locations.
  • Occasional travel for stakeholder management and/or learning & development.
  • Comply with company safety regulations.

 

 

Salary Range: $129,300.00 -  $240,100.00  

The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
