Social Media Manager

Job Summary:

Work closely with Digital and Brand teams to understand objectives and create meaningful content and relationships with consumers through social media channels across multiple brands. Core functions of this role includes content creation and execution, monitoring engagement and growth across multiple platforms, managing and continually optimizing paid campaigns that align with brand objectives, influencer outreach and some agency management. This person will be a part of the Digital Marketing team and may also be tasked to assist in projects related to content creation, analytics and general digital marketing support.

The ideal person for this role will be creative, highly organized, and able to manage multiple brands with different objectives and across varying price points. This person should also be highly collaborative and has past work experience managing social media planning and execution.

 

Essential Functions:

The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. 

 

  • Work with brand teams to develop & execute social media strategies for brands managed in-house

 

  • Engage with consumers through social media channels across multiple brands (channels primarily focus on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest) to achieve positive interactions, and encourage loyalty

 

  • Follower growth through organic and paid campaigns

 

  • Develop content for multiple brands, that supports brand and DTC initiatives

 

  • Agency management across multiple brands, in addition to managing brands in-house

 

  • Analyze the performance of digital marketing programs. Review campaign results, and gather insights from those results to optimize future campaigns and improve consumer interactions

 

  • Continual review and optimization of social media strategy (paid and organic)

 

  • Follow and enforce legal policies and best practices for promoting alcohol through social media

 

  • Exhibit a sense of urgency – monitors, prioritizes and responds in near real-time

 

  • Follow the latest social media marketing developments and consumer behaviors in order to understand current and future trends

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications or related field
  • Years of Experience: 2 years of digital marketing experience in a business environment
  • Thorough understanding of and expert user of all social media technologies
  • Outstanding written communication skills, including the ability to master a variety of brand voices
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Canva or similar photo editing software
  • Video editing skills a plus
  • Some knowledge of SEO
  • Understanding of digital advertising channels
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high stress environment and ensuring follow-through on every task & project
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience with working as a team player
  • Must maintain satisfactory attendance, including timeliness
