Job Summary:
Coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance staff. Oversee maintenance programs and protocols to ensure our equipment and systems are operating at the highest levels within the industry. Train and mentor junior staff in both 1:1 and group setting. Perform the maintenance and repair on a wide variety of electrical and mechanical production and supporting plant equipment.

- Plan and direct the daily activities of the maintenance mechanics as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Develop and maintain comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for packaging machinery and ancillary equipment systems.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive spare parts management system.
- Execute preventative maintenance program for packaging machinery and ancillary equipment systems.
- Ensure that all work assigned to the shift is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner
- Create work instructions for routine and non-routine tasks
- Maintain activity records and document maintenance work in TFE’s CMMS.
- Coach junior staff and contribute to training initiatives that strengthen the skills of the maintenance team.
- Act as a team player, taking direction well and providing direction to mechanics in the spirit of Trinchero Family Estates' business practices
- Provide support to internal customers to enable efficient daily operational efficiencies as required
- Interface with vendors to maintain a supportive technical network
- Conduct tailgate safety meetings as required and actively participate in Trinchero Family Estates safety programs
- Appropriately seeks advice when additional expertise or authority is needed
- Interface with vendors to maintain a supportive technical network.
- Assist with new equipment start-ups and installations as required
- Follows all TFE business processes - work orders, inventory management, purchasing, etc.
- Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities, including the SQF Food Safety & Quality Policy
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED required. Trade school certification preferred
- Experience Preferred: Minimum 6 years’ experience preferred
- 2 years of leadership experience preferred
- TFE Skills Matrix: Proficient in 4 or more skills, Beginner in 3 skills and have leadership skills and able to take on Admin duties.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical areas
- Demonstrates a highly motivated work ethic
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively work as part of team
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and take direction
- Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Computer literacy in MS Office and integrated work order / inventory system.
- Valid Driver’s license preferred
Working Conditions:
- Moderate to heavy physical work
- Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
- Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
- Must comply with all safety equipment requirements including ear plugs and safety glasses
- Exposure to various chemicals in production areas
- Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment
- Long and irregular hours during peak periods or on various shifts
- Depending on production efficiencies, weekend work will be required.
- Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds
Salary Range: $41.50 - $50.75
The starting pay will be based on several factors, including but not limited to experience, training, education, and geographic location.
