DTC Shipping Coordinator

Job Summary:

The DTC Shipping Coordinator is responsible for processing all Marketing Sample requests across the organization; efficiently with a high level of accuracy, to meet the needs of the business.  This person is a clear communicator who can multitask and prioritize and is comfortable working with many internal customers/partners, in addition to working with outside vendors.  Logistics coordination and troubleshooting basic compliance and shipping challenges are key components of this role.  This person understands the importance of providing excellent customer support and strikes an appropriate balance between positivity and professionalism while getting things done.  Additional responsibilities include supplying general fulfillment support in the warehouse as needed and contributing to the continued growth of a high-performing team.

Essential Functions:

•     Process outbound Marketing Sample orders from various market sources via SAP, Commerce7 and ShipCompliant.

  • Maintain excellent communication with customers, providing transparency into availability of inventory and delivery expectations.
  • Prepare documents such as packing lists and invoices for domestic and international shipments.
  • Support general order processing tasks as needed.
  • Determine best shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, compliance, routes, and rates.
  • Track, redirect and troubleshoot shipments as needed for successfully delivery.
  • Monitor and adhere to compliance laws and shipping requirements across all order fulfillment.
  • Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery.
  • Document issues and identify ways to rectify problems such as damages and shortages.

•     Pick, package and ship Marketing Samples for in-house orders.

  • Maintain Key performance objectives to reflect shipment data, damages and inventory discrepancies, for reporting and accounting.
  • Take on ad hoc projects, special requests or pack outs from the Marketing Team.

•     Deliver or route materials to other departments at any TFE facility.

•     Gift wrap packages/shipments as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Years of Experience:  Two or more years of experience with shipping/warehouse preferred.

•     Working knowledge of Wine Club shipping experience.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to follow through are essential.

•     Excellent organizational and communication skills.

•     Experience in customer is service required.

•     Ability to accurately follow instructions and take direction.

•     Ability to problem solve and multitask.

•     Valid California drivers’ license with the ability to provide and maintain a clean/acceptable DMV report.

•     Forklift experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

•     Warehouse/storage area environment, i.e. fluorescent lighting, cool temperatures, exposure to lift exhaust and corrugated dust.

•     Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases, heavy packages and shipping supplies). Frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and sorting.

•     Occasional long and irregular hours.

•     Frequent deadline pressures.

•     Ability to handle numerous projects in progress at one time.
