Tasting Room Representative

Job Summary:

To provide support to the Tasting Room/Retail Sales areas by greeting and hosting the public and assisting in related activities.  Ensuring each guest feels welcomed and special.

Essential Functions:

  • Greet visitors and introduce self
  • Present and pour wine while educating consumers about the wines using responsible hospitality techniques.
  • Sell TFE wines and branded products
  • Sell Wine Club memberships
  • Collect names and email addresses for future contact
  • Provide information about the brands your tasting room supports and its products to guests including large tour groups
  • Provide excellent customer service in all areas
  • Perform sales transactions using POS Systems (RMS)
  • Stock supplies, maintain displays in retail areas
  • Provide consumer/trade brand awareness - promotional programs


  • Education: High School or equivalent
  • Experience:  2 or more years experience in winery hospitality or related field preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for wine in general and Trinchero Family Estates and its products in particular
  • Experience with register/POS systems preferred
  • Relaxed, friendly and professional demeanor
  • Able to interact effectively with wide range of contacts, i.e. the public, co-workers and members of other departments
  • Strong analytical and math skills


Working Conditions:

  • Regular working schedule to include weekends and holidays
  • Long and irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events
  • Moderate to heavy physical work (moving wine cases and retail supplies, setting up for special events)
  • Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates facilities
  • Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
  • Carrying case(s) of wine to customer’s vehicle after purchase
  • Washing wine glasses and dishes to keep a clean work environment
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds (case of wine)

Close toed shoes and dressy casual clothing required
