Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

Perform the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical production and supporting plant equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Possess mastery in one or more of the following disciplines; refrigeration, fabrication, electrical and electronics or pumps and machinery repair.
  • Perform maintenance and repair or fabrication/construction project work on the following:
  • The repair of presses, pumps, filtration, refrigeration and any related equipment used in wine production.
  • The repair of winery vehicles.
  • Completion of welding, fabrication, electrical, plumbing and other related projects.
  • Organization and storage of the spare-parts inventory for all winery equipment.
  • The maintenance, operation and improvement of the winery’s water, compressed air and gases, process wastewater, and fire protection systems.
  • Daily completion of all paperwork related to maintenance assignments and functions using the Maintenance Connection system
  • Responsible for understanding and following TCC’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Continual development of skills to investigate, analyze and identify equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform and assist with general winery maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain all work areas and equipment in clean and sanitary condition.
  • Operation and use of elevated work platforms and forklift in execution of some tasks


  • Education:  High School diploma
  • Years of Experience: 4 or more years of experience in related field
  • Proven strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Background in fabrication, welding, electrical, plumbing, auto repair and/or other related mechanical fields preferred.
  • Experience with food processing equipment and systems and winery equipment preferred
  • Problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical areas.
  • Demonstrate a highly motivated work ethic.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions and take direction.
  • Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures.
  • Ability to handle numerous projects in progress at one time.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Valid California driver’s license.

Working Conditions:

  • Moderate to heavy physical work
  • Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
  • Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
  • Must comply with all safety equipment requirements including ear plugs and safety glasses
  • Exposure to various chemicals in production areas
  • Exposure to machinery, forklifts and related production equipment
  • Long and irregular hours during peak periods or on various shifts
  • Extensive walking and lifting of up to 55 pounds
  • Occasional performance of permit required work such as hot work, confined space entry, working at heights from elevated work platform or ladders (after additional safety training)
